A Dream in My Brain
My brain as I dream is like a kaleidoscope of flashing pictures Somewhere the air is cool, clear, honey coloured juxtaposed against a cypress-studded valley coming together in a dance of silence Sun glistening on painted houses is marvelously beautiful Sound of rain on leaves - ethereal Water gurgling through a down spout - exquisite interrupted by a distant rumble of fading light Lightening flashes Thunder booms Bare branches twist and turn in the wind Abruptly nothing moves Just flutter of white light Then complete darkness A starry moon dares to peep out of its shadows with a gray-grim sky as its back-drop An unknown pale blue face with large eyes bombards my sleep Still in the comfort of my bed viewing a colourful blue array of flowers Preparing to leave a night that has lost its quiet replaced by sun on baking sand I become alert to a new day Remembering nothing about a dream in my brain.
